So I found out the other day that I have a pet peeve.

A scar is a far different from a scratch. Scars are old or healed perminant damage to skin. Some times they hurt but most of the time not so much. To get scars a wound needs to be fairly deep or the damage needs to last for a long time. Basically to get a scar you usually suffer a grecious wound first. A scratch is a shallow surfave wound, they itch and burn a little... You rub disinfectant on it and forget about them. A scratch has to have happene recently, basically they are pretty fresh wounds but nothing to worry about.

As an artist with small scars covering my hands and legs from creating sculptures, people mixing scars and scratches up irks me... Also it can change the context of a sentence. A man with scars covering the left side of his face and down his left arm is a verry different mental image to a man with scratches on his face and arm.

Well nice to get that out there. I won't ever abuse someone about making this mistake because English is a really silly language, but it will usually make my eye twitch.

Ok.... It seems that as an Aussie the art of carving a pumpkin to celebrate Halloween is not possible... unless it only lasts 2 days XS

I carved my first ever pumpkin on Sunday night, I have been putting finishing details onto it since then but some time  monday night i got fuzzy black fungus. I assumed they were burns from the candly that had been rolling around inside it while i worked. When i went to put it next to the door for the possible 2 trick or treaters we get i noticed that the external flesh i had exposed to make texture was black... then that there were dark brownish orange patches on the outside of it. Out of curiosity i took off the lid to see inside. the dam thing was full of black furry fungus. In 2 days they had reduced the structural integrity of half my pumpkin to firm jelly. it was gross and squishy and smelt funny and the fruit flys were gathering. i had to throw it away. Never even got a photo.

so my question is... does any one know how to dry a pumpkin? i know it works with gourds so it could be possible. Also is it just Australia or do all  pumpkins die that fast?

My thoughts are, sanity is over rated, the sane are just the people who follow all of society's conventional norms and basically end up being kind of like sheep. I will stick with my mind and thought process that can never be contained by a box. In fact I am pretty sure my thoughts are contained in a Sphere, have you ever tried to organise things inside a Sphere? Dosn't work to well. It can contain them just fine but different things keep ending up on the top and next to eachother.  Because of this I associate odd things with eachother and am able to jump from one randome subjuct to the next with not real trace of normal cognitive process. I love the baffled looks that people get when I reply in the workd association game!

How do you think your thoughts are contained?
A really large box?
Filing cabinets?
Mass amount of draws and conpartments?
Labrynth type maze?

Well I have been here for a fairly long while and never bothered to write a journal. I figure there isn't much I have to say that people would want to read.

So instead I am going ask you those strange queries that pop into my head at the most random of times throughout my day.

A while ago Lilikwee and myself were sculpting in the backyard and reminising about her time at Uni doing an animation course. One time she said that a male friend of hers only dates Asian girls, there is more to that story but that is the important part. About 20 seconds later I said "You would be better off dating a Centaur."  which got me some a strange look. The thought process that got me there was

He only likew Asian gilrs? what if he was gay? Whould he then like asian boys? I have no racial preferance... If the supernatural existed i would probably have no problem with that eithere... a were-wolf isn't so bad... he may eat you.... his car would smell like wet dog.... you would be better of with a centaur... no petrol money and they don't eat people.

SO my question for today is... If you were to date a Mythical being what would it be.

Name of species and a Wiki type description would be great and why that one specifically.
